Central Credit: a credit check platform, built for our client
Central Credit is a portal where Brazilian companies check people and businesses before they sell, lend, rent or hire. We designed and built it for our client, and it is live with paying customers: one account, credits bought by Pix or boleto, a report on screen in seconds, and an API for companies that check from their own systems.

The problem
Before a company sells on credit, signs a lease or takes on a supplier, it wants to know who it is dealing with: the credit score, open restrictions and protests, the registry data and any lawsuits. That information comes from different sources. Our client wanted one place to buy any of these checks, one at a time and with no monthly fee, and an API for the companies that run many of them from their own systems.
What we built
A complete product, not a prototype: the customer portal, the back office that reviews accounts, the payment flow and the API.
Checks on people and companies
Credit and payment history, score and default probability, restrictions, bounced checks and protests with amounts and dates, registry data with partners and addresses, lawsuits, and certificates for compliance.
Pay per check
Customers buy credits by Pix or boleto; the balance updates when the payment is confirmed and each check is taken from the balance. Companies with a representative can be billed monthly instead.
Reports that keep
Each report appears on screen, usually within seconds, and downloads as a PDF with a protocol number. Reports stay in the account for later. When a source has no answer, the report shows what came back and only that is charged.
An API with a sandbox
Each company gets its own access keys and documentation, and a free test environment with sample answers that uses no credits, available while the account is still under review.
Resale and negative listing
Resellers offer the checks to their own customers on their own terms, and companies can register debtors who do not pay and follow each entry until it is cleared.
How it runs today
The portal is live and serves small businesses, sole traders, lenders, collection agencies, real estate firms and the teams that vet staff and suppliers.
Reviewed accounts
A new account is checked by the team before its first purchase or report, and each user has their own login and permissions.
Built to keep answering
When one data source is down, the platform asks another. Administrative actions leave an audit trail, and the data people look up is stored encrypted.
Who looks after it
We do: Francos Digital Solutions hosts, monitors, supports and improves Central Credit.
Technology
A TypeScript platform: a NestJS API, a React web app and a PostgreSQL database, running on AWS (ECS Fargate, S3 and SNS), with the infrastructure defined in Terraform and monitoring through OpenTelemetry.
Result
Central Credit is running well: monitored around the clock, with no downtime and active support, and the improvements keep shipping.
